November 2022

In the book of Acts in the Bible we learn that the Apostle Paul was a Roman citizen. He is a citizen based on the city in which he was born and its status within the Roman empire…Those of us born in the US also have a gift of citizenship. With this gift there are certain rights that we are privileged to have. One of those rights is voting…As you go to the ballot box this November, I hope you take your faith with you. Different people have different opinions on how to approach the wide variety of issues that our world faces. This is certainly true for different Christians as well. But one thing I would hope we could agree on is that we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves. I hope we could agree that Christ calls us to work for the common good and to be especially mindful of the most vulnerable in our society. – Excerpt from the “Pastor’s Note”
