Our new associate pastor will be staring in October and her first Sunday at Holy Trinity will be October 17.

Pastor Emily Ebert was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, with her three siblings. At a young age, she fell in love with music and played several instruments including piano, brass, and eventually some guitar. Pastor Emily has a heart for the arts, including theatrical and visual arts. This led her to major in photography in college. While earning her Fine Arts degree, she felt nudged toward ministry, and she used the arts to help her fellow college students ask questions about faith.

After college, Joe proposed to Emily when she was in the Episcopal Service Corps, and she finally accepted the call to ministry. She started at Fuller Theological Seminary, surrounded by people of many different denominations, and ended her education at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.

Ministry has taken Pastor Emily and Joe to San Antonio, Texas, Columbus, Ohio, Buffalo, New York, Woodbridge, Virginia, and now back to southern California. For now it is just the two of them, their dog, and a couple of motorcycles, but they have fostered children in the past and may again in the future. They see life as an adventure, and further see this opportunity in Thousand Oaks as the next leg of the journey.
