Village Sunday School

We are about to embark on a new adventure with the children of Holy Trinity’s Sunday School program. An adventure that will involve all of us, one that will engage our children and ourselves in the time-honored tradition of storytelling and the glorious ministry of sharing the good news!

Sunday School Program

• “Village Sunday School”, borrowed from the African proverb “It takes a Village to raise a child”, We are the village. And when we participate in a child’s spiritual growth we are letting them know how important they are to us and how important God’s gifts of Word, faith, and service are to us and to our village. So we invite each of you, the “Village Volunteers”, to share the good news of the gospel with a Sunday School class and be the one who reads that weeks bible story.



• The second part is our new curriculum called Witness. Witness has workbooks, wonderfully layed out, creative, inspiring workbooks for each age level. Witness is structured such that each week a particular bible story is discussed and a “faith trait” is identified to help the children apply the stories knowledge to their own lives. For example, the story of Noah shows us Obedience, Joshua at Jericho, Perseverance and so on.



• The third part of our Sunday School program, tying it all together, are our “Village Square” meetings. These forums bring together the Sunday School teacher and the Village Volunteer to explore ways you may want to enhance your storytelling with a little something extra – hand puppets, costumes, crafts or other activities.
