Holy Trinity is blessed to have a wonderful staff including our senior pastor and associate pastor as well as our office manager who is on hand to answer your questions M-F 9:00-3:00.
Senior Pastor Erik Goehner (firstname.lastname@example.org) has been leading Holy Trinity for over a year now. He initiated the new theme “Keep Calm and Pray On”, which he implemented into weekly Bible study, Prayer Partners, in fellowship; and he is mentoring our youth team. Pastor Erik can often be found on the church campus most days (or evenings) of the week, as there are many activities going on daily at Holy Trinity. Call the church office at 805-492-1234 to reach him by phone.
Interim Associate Pastor Tom Ford (PastorTom@HTLCto.org) is helping out at Holy Trinity through most of 2016 as we search for a permanent associate pastor. Pastor Tom will serve in many areas at Holy Trinity including giving some sermons on Sundays and making hospital and home visits. His warm, friendly style has made him right at home in very short time and we think you’ll like him too!
Amanda Burns (email@example.com) serves as Holy Trinity’s Director of Children’s Ministries. With her volunteer team, Amanda brings energy and passion into this area, making Holy Trinity a fun place for kids to grow spiritually and for people of all ages to interact in education and fellowship. Amanda has creative ideas, such as “tapping into” the congregation, utilizing professional teachers, authors, artists, scientists, and doctors; and finding new ways for them to share their God given gifts.
Quinn Stone (firstname.lastname@example.org) is our Youth Ministries leader. He works closely with Pastor Erik, the Children’s Ministry team, and volunteers to develop meaningful programs and exciting trips for middle and high school youth; he also helps kick off Sunday School welcomes and plays the bongo. Quinn leads classes in the Hut on both Tuesday (High School) and Wednesday nights (Middle School confirmation) as well as Sundays at 9:45 and 11:00AM.
If you visit our church office, the first person you’ll likely see is our friendly office manager Jennifer Loughry (email@example.com), who is busy each day handling many details here at Holy Trinity and supporting the work of our pastors, other staff, volunteers, visitors, and more.
If you need to make or receive payment at Holy Trinity, you’ll meet Heather Edwards, our bookkeeper. Heather manages all the expenses and financial accounts needed to operate. You can reach her at: firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
Holy Trinity’s Secretary of Publications is Lynn Youngren. Lynn gathers all the news and images from pastors, council, ministry leaders, members and friends; and she assembles it all into a beautiful monthly edition of the Tempo newsletter. The Tempo is accessible through this website or by email (in full color!) or printed for home delivery in black and white.
Holy Trinity Organist and Pianist Virginia Walters not only performs the majority of the music during the two traditional services, but she also selects and coordinates the special musicians throughout the year, which include outstanding cello artists, soloists, and various ensembles. She also instructs students of all ages on both piano and organ and hosts recitals.
Our Choir is led by Wyant Morton, who joined Holy Trinity in 2014. Wyant has vast experience in choral teaching and has implemented some wonderful changes, with the choir participating frequently throughout the worship service. The choir sings during worship services regularly fall through spring, with open rehearsals on Thursday nights.
Our Praise Band leaders coordinate all music for our Informal Service held at 9:45AM. Richard and Wanda Ferrin bring a wealth of musical experience to share with us as they oversee the selection, rehearsals and set-up for each Sunday. Wanda (email@example.com) also serves as our income recorder.
Our Audio/PA Technician is Scott Youngren. He ensures that everyone can hear the sermons and music, whether indoors or out, and when there are special musicians or drama. Scott also makes sure there are plenty of headsets for the hearing impaired. On the Communications Committee, Scott also works to ensure we have the best possible A/V equipment; he also creates and oversees video projects.
Angie Zamora is Director of Audio/Visual Services, serving at all three worship services to ensure a pleasant experience for all. As PA Tech Supervisor, Angie oversees the scheduling of PA Tech Assistants who run the computer programs such as Power Point shows.
Our Nursery is operated by Kari Slattum with loving care from 9:00AM until 11:15AM for children 0-3 years old. She makes sure the kids enjoy their time at “church.”
Pagers are available so that parents can immediately be “buzzed” if their child needs them (in which case, we recommend the “Cry Room” at back of church where you can enjoy the rest of the service in a more private setting.)
Under the guidance of Holy Trinity’s Property Committee, the grounds and buildings are kept clean and well run by Villa Esperanza Custodial Services. Coach Monse’s team includes Marshall, Ryan, and Brian who tackle all jobs with a smile.
HoneyTree Early Childhood Center is an outreach program under Holy Trinity run by Director Sherri Schuler with the help of Assistant Director Angela Carr. School activities add lots of joy to the weekly life at Holy Trinity, and many Holy Trinity families include HoneyTree alumni (some with multiple generations!) It is a very special school with lots of “heart”. Call Sherri at 805-492-1232 if you’d like to come visit the school!
