November 20th Sermon

By Nov 14, 2011

Our sermon this Sunday is entitled, "What Does It Mean to Call Him King?" Please come join us at either the 8:15, 9:45, or 11:00AM service!

Our sermon for this Sunday will be given by Pastor Frank Nausin and is entitled, “What Does It Mean To Call Him King?”  The sermon will be given at all three services; 8:15, 9:45, and 11:00.  Please come join us at the time of your choice.

Sunday School will meet in their regular classrooms after the Children’s Sermon in the Sanctuary at the 9:45 Contemporary Service.  This week’s lesson is “Daniel in the Lion’s Den” and is the second week that members of the congregation will present the lessons, with the regular Sunday School teachers assisting.  How wonderful to tap into the various talents of Holy Trinity’s many members.  Our Youth group will not be meeting this Sunday as there is a weekend youth gathering.  The nursery is open for infant care during all services as always.

Our Spiritual Growth “Adult Forum” takes place in the Fireside Room during the 9:45 service and again at 11:00.  Gerry Swanson and Pastor Janet will facilitate a discussion about our “all church read”, “Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life” by author Karen Armstrong.  Today’s topic is the first of a series and is called, “Learn About Compassion, Look at Your Own World, Compassion for Yourself.”  At 11:00 Reni Pasricha leads us in a spiritual journey based on the book “The Hidden Power of the Gospels” by Alexander Shaia.  (It is not necessary to have read the book).

Our Christmas play rehearsals are from 11AM until noon and parents are encouraged to attend the 11:00 forum next door while they wait.

We hope to see you at church!
