Thoughts While Running

Where did this year go? Here we are already in giving thanks. The month, that intentionally reminds us of all our blessings. Before the
darker days of winter hit, we remember the blessings of God upon us.
For many, this has been a year of disaster—beginning with tsunamis and going to hurricanes, earthquakes, and fires, not to mention the painful human behavior we have experienced. In the eleventh month of a year like this we stop and say, yes these things have all happened.
Yet, in the midst of it all we stop to say thank you God. Thank you for life itself, thank you for food and shelter, thank you for love and friendship, thank you God for my daily bread.
May God continue to hear our prayers of thanksgiving. May we learn to view a troubling world with yet thankful hearts. For in giving thanks we truly find ourselves and who we are. We are God’s and nothing can separate us from that! THANKS BE TO GOD! See you in church. — Love, Pastor Frank
