Winter Shelter

The 2004 Conejo Valley Winter Shelter begins on Monday December 6, 2004 and runs through March 28, 2005. Working in unison with Lutheran Social Services, HTLC hosts the Conejo Valley homeless and near homeless, in the Fireside Room, providing them meals and a place to sleep. Each Monday we serve up to 40 meals and provide sleeping facilities for 15 people. It is a tremendous but rewarding undertaking.
We are always in need of volunteers who feel the urge to get involved with our community. There is a special need for people to help screen our guests as well as ensure that the mealtime goes smoothly. If up front involvement is not your forte, there are also several other behind the scenes jobs in need of volunteers.
